I am an amateur photographer of 5 years, with a passion for capturing images. I am an advocate of getting the shot right in camera, so Photoshop is definitely not in my repertoire. The idea being, don't press the shutter if there's something in the frame that you don't want in the final image.
However, I am very 'shutter happy' ... but if 100 pictures yields just one perfect capture, then it's worth it.
I shoot in raw and use Lightroom 5 for all my editing and processing and my camera is a Nikon D7100.
Photography is an art with a licence for creativity, thus far for me, it has been a science, trying to perfect all the elements towards creating the perfect image in the camera. There is still a long way to go :)
